Welcome to the Under 10's homepage.  We hope to give you as much information about up and coming games, training and events as possible.  2008/09 was an extraordinary season (details below) having an unbeaten league record of 26 wins and 2 draws as well as two tournament victories at Wrexham and Denbigh producing a combined 6 victories and 1 draw on our way to both cups.  Due to these results, the team obtained "Team Of The Year" award  at the club's anual awards night in June 09.  This season has started where we left off, winning the Llanidloes tournament and four wins from four in the league.  With some great new additions to our squad, I am sure we will once again be consistantly competative and enjoy the remainder of this season.

Well done boys, two excellent wins against Shrewsbury and Mold this weekend.

Some dates and possible events for you to consider.

On Sat April 3rd, we are hosting games against Stirling County RFC who are touring down this way for the weekend. Note its Easter weekend and games to be played on Sat.  I expect usual kick off times of 11am for the first game.

On Sun April 18th we go to the North Wales Tournament. Only open to North Wales based clubs for U10s and U11s. Each age group have their own competitions of course and the hosts this year is Mold RFC. Dont panic Mold are merely the hosts, therefore, English rules will not apply!  The competition will be played to Welsh rules for our age. This will replace the fixture against Nant who im sure will be there.

On Sat/Sun May 8th/9th we are hoping to travel to Llanelli and play 2 games against 2 local sides on the Sunday morning. Some of you might be aware that Pen Barras are competing down there in the Urdd on the Saturday. The idea would be for those boys to join their Ruthin team mates on the Sat evening for some event and play as Ruthin on the Sunday. This would be open to boys from the club aged U9s U10s U11s. I believe the plan is to travel down by coach and cars, sort something for Sat afternoon and night, camp or cheap hotel, play games Sunday. Travel back.

On all three events above, I'll need feedback, especially the Llanelli one as we would need at least 10 players including the Pen Barras boys to fulfill the fixtures on the Sunday.  At the earliest opportunity could you let me know if you can't attend the Stirling and North Wales Tournament events and if you are interested in the mini tour to Llanelli.

TRAINING. Every Friday 5.30pm till 7.00pm Brynhyfryd Sports Center (small gym). Please bring £1.50 to cover the hire.
