RUTHIN JUNIOR AND MINI RUGBY SECTION

 

SUBSCRIPTION FORM – 2009/10 SEASON

 

I would like my son/daughter to join the Junior and Mini sessions at Ruthin Rugby Club, Cae Ddol, Ruthin.  I understand that Ruthin Rugby Club, its servants, agents or employees are not under any liability whatsoever for loss of property, accidents or injuries of or to my son/daughter however caused during the course of training, preparation or matches played at Ruthin Rugby Club or any other ground.

 

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FEE £30.00  [Second and subsequent children £15, U8’s and below free. For those trying rugby out for the first time there will be a trial period of 4 weeks from the date of registering, after which payment must be made. Failure to pay means your child cannot train or play thereafter until payment is made.]

CODES OF CONDUCT

 

The Welsh Rugby Union emphasises the duty of all players and Member Clubs to ensure that the game is conducted at every level in accordance with discipline and sporting behaviour.

 

The club administers disciplinary procedures through an internal Disciplinary Committee which will convene if deemed necessary following a serious breach(s) of conduct as defined below.

 

Players are expected to:

 

1.         

Be properly dressed for the game and training.

2.         

Learn the laws of the game and abide by them.

3.         

Make a personal commitment to keep fit at all times.

4.         

Never argue with the referee's decision.

5.         

Control your temper on the field of play, do not over react, and do not take unfair advantage of any player during matches or training.

6.         

Work equally hard for self and team.

7.         

Ignore comments from spectators and concentrate on own and teams performance.

8.         

Cooperate with team mates, coaches and referee, without them there is no game.

9.         

Accept discipline without question whether during a match or training.

10.      

Never use foul and abusive language.

During  and after training

  • Arrive on time and be prepared to learn and listen to directions given by the coaching team and team management at all times.
  • Poor behavior which disrupts training will not be tolerated.
  • The purpose of training is to learn in an enjoyable environment, skills and rules of the game, not to waste yours and the time of others who are willing to learn and the coaches who give up their free time voluntarily.
  • Strive to improve your performance through your own practice between training sessions.

The coaches and team managers will administer a “three strikes and out” policy to a player(s) where their behaviour breaches this Code of conduct. This will involve two verbal warnings whereupon the third warning, the player will be asked to sit out training and may even miss the following club match. The decision will rest with the coaching team.

 

Parents are expect to:

Encourage your child to play by the rules and the players code of conduct.

Teach your child the importance of teamwork.

Help your child to improve their skills and to be positive about the game.

Set an example to your child

·         Applaud good play by your team and the opposition.

·         Be friendly to parents from the opposition.

·         Do not question the referee's nor coaches decision.

·         Support all efforts to eradicate verbal and physical abuse.

·         Recognise and value the importance of coaches who give up their free time voluntarily.

Never use foul and abusive language.

Help in the kitchen and /or food cabin on a rota basis as organised by the age group team manager.
